A welcoming word
Reaching out for help is a brave first step. My practice is built on the belief that every person carries a story worth listening to — and that with the right support, healing is not only possible, it’s the natural next chapter.
For over two decades I’ve walked alongside clients navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and relationship wounds. Together, we’ll create a calm, honest space where you can breathe, think clearly, and begin choosing what comes next. My office is in Mission Viejo, and I see adults from across South Orange County.
Office location
Sessions take place in a calm, private office in Mission Viejo, close to Laguna Niguel, San Clemente, Irvine, Newport Beach, and Rancho Santa Margarita.
Wes Imayanagita, LCSWAreas of focus
Every client is different, and treatment is tailored.
These are some common areas I help with.
Evidence-based care for the wounds that keep replaying — including EMDR to help your nervous system finally let go.
Practical tools and deep listening to help you move from surviving your days to feeling steady in them again.
A gentle, unhurried space to honor what you’ve lost and slowly rebuild a life that still holds meaning.
Work through the hurts and patterns that shape how you connect with the people in your life.
Integrate your faith into the healing process when you want a therapist who understands that part of your story.
Find your footing through divorce, career change, or seasons where you no longer recognize yourself.
Therapeutic approaches
EMDR is the core of my practice. I pair it with other proven modalities so the work fits you, not the other way around.
Primary focus
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for trauma and stuck memories.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to shift the thought patterns that shape how you feel.
Understanding how your family shaped you — and how to author what comes next.
A tailored blend, because no two people heal in exactly the same way.
How I work
Private, individual therapy for adults navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and life transitions.
EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful memories so they lose their grip on the present.
Bring your faith into the work when it matters to you. If it does not, therapy stays clinical and secular.
“Wes gave me the first space where I felt safe enough to tell the whole truth.
Two years later I hardly recognize the person I was.”
